Receiving Care

Contacting Clergy

The clergy at St. John’s are on-call for pastoral emergencies.  One of our clergy is available 24 hours a day at 443-538-2806.  The Rev. Dr. Katrina Grusell, Administrator for Pastoral Care, is the staff support for our pastoral care ministry.

The clergy are available for pastoral conversation and spiritual guidance. To make an appointment, call the church office at 410-461-7793 or send an e-mail to any of our clergy people through the staff directory.  The clergy support people at various life transitions.  When to contact clergy lists times when it is important to connect with clergy.

Prayer Requests

Names of those who are sick or in any kind of need are placed on the parish prayer list and prayed for at the Thursday morning Healing Service. To be added to the parish prayer list, contact the church office.  The Prayer Chain is a group of people committed to daily intercessory prayer for those in need.  The leaders of the Prayer Chain, Tina Millard and Judy Anderson, write specific prayers for individual requests which are then distributed to the Prayer Chain. Prayers of thanksgiving are also welcome for both the parish prayer list and the Prayer Chain.

Home Communion

Visiting Eucharistic Ministers, as well as Stephen Ministers, assist the clergy in taking communion to parishioners who are unable to attend services at church. Contact Rev. Katrina to request home communion.
